sad, sad, realization.

I will never not have "Mormon hair."

Never, no never.

No matter the length, cut, or style I receive at the hair place, in two days, my hair will revert to-

being flipped out on the bottom, and slightly turned under on the top.

I don't know why this happens, but I suspect it is karma. It's like the universe is saying, "If you want to spend inordinate amounts of time making fun of other MCBs, FINE, but you will be cursed to have their hair style of preference. FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bwahahahahahaaaaa"

Sigh.

I am all about shaving the head. My MO: shaved=saved! I am so blessed; you can be "blessed" too with a quick run in with a pair of clippers. From there you could rock your dome in the buff or any number or wigs. It's respectable in many cultures to rock the wig; cross the mighty cultural barrier and liberate yourself from your "Mormon" hair.

Found your blog through blog stalking...FREAKING HILARIOUS. I too have tried for some time to do "utah hair" and it just doesn't work. Although I can get a good size nest in the back for special days...like the byu uofu game when I harken back to my co-ed days.

Wouldn't it be nice if we were all just bald? :) That would save me a good 45 minutes in the morning. 50- an hour if Taylor doesn't talk to me while I'm doing my hair. :)

But, if we were bald we'd then be judging everyone by their freckles and bumps. :)

I feel your pain. Honestly though, I think you have way CUTE hair.

I guess we are on opposite sides of the spectrum cause I will never HAVE mormon hair. No matter how hard I try to get it to stay "put up" or "flipped out" it will never stay that way. We will never know how the other feels....

You forgot to mention the "poof" that may girls sport here in Utah. That and the colossal amounts of hairspray used to maintain the "poof."

Just tell me that you have avoided the chunky skunk striped highlights (dark red brown and light blonde, of course), and I think you will be ok.
