deal or no deal.

For me, a man wearing seven's jeans, bought at full price, is a deal-breaker.

because that is a lot of sushi/rent.

but it's okay if you have different standards. i guess.

Yes, I have different standards. Any man wearing seven jeans automatically is a winner in my books - no matter what he paid.

i agree 100%. i know i won't spend more than $30 on a pair of jeans. i am just too cheap. i try to find them on the clearance rack for way less than that, but i am so short i don;t have a lot of options. usually i just buy a pair and cut them off. i should pay the extra and get them hemmed. too cheap. my man wears ripped up, stained jeans and it's HOT. he doesn't care if he spills a little paint on his pants- he keeps wearing them.

I assume, then, that seven's jeans must mean designer jeans.

Totally agree, except about the sushi!

But to me, a tightwad of the year, that's a lot of money that could be saved for our emergency fund or in savings!

Of course, recently, our router died, my husband's monitor died, his video card is going out, and our vacuum died. So, we've spent more than it would probably cost for that pair of jeans with a label that makes them valued at 5 times what they should cost.

Oh well, such is life.

This is an issue that is near and dear to my heart, so I feel I must speak out.

I understand where you are coming from...but I must point out the male's perspective. As a woman you are given way Way WAYYYYY more opportunities to find attractive clothing for cheap. You have "crap" stores dedicated to buying tops and bottoms for like $4 that you can wear once clubbing and then throw away. Men don't have stores like that, there is no such thing as a Wet Seal for men. So, if we want to find a great looking pair of jeans, AKA Sevens, Rockin' Republic, Diesel, etc. we have to spend some money.

I'm all about finding a great deal on pants, don't get me wrong, but I'm not about to go the $30 Old Navy Carpenter Jean route. Sorry, it's not in me; I can't bring myself to do it. Sevens look good, they fit right, they last a long time, and they are worth the money. If you can find them for cheaper, awesome! Sweet deal! It's the searching for the good deal that sucks for us guys. It's hard out there for a pimp!

If anyone knows where I can find a great pair of sevens for under $100 (besides the completely chaotic and totally ridiculous Nordstrom Rack) please let me know. Until then…I’ll just come to sushi dinner with you and look good sitting there in my new jeans.

Wearing sevens jeans is too metro for me. Guys should not care that much about they look, or spend that much on their clothes.

Hey, Brandon, Levi's 501s. They have buttons instead of a zipper. These are the real classics.
