my dad wants to make this into a t-shirt...

mom: "I love President Monson, and I love Elder Eyring, but most of all I LOVE Elder Uchtdorf."

For Christmas, she would like an Uchtdorf calendar. You know, with photos of Uchtdorf performing everyday tasks, like burning eggs, making toast, and, according to my mother "being inappropriately attractive for a religious figure."

My mother will probably make me take this post down before she is ex-communicated, but I thought you should know.

He is pretty hot for an apostle.

I know quite a few women in my ward that would agree with your mom 100%.

Hey, if it means they're paying more attention at General Conference, then what's the harm?

LOL! He's my fav Apostle, too, though. I suspect for different reasons, though. :)

Did you guys happen to catch the Christmas Devotional last night?

I really liked when he discussed the little chapel in East Germany where he worshipped as a child. I could almost envision it by his description.

well...in my apartment. of 19 and 20 year old girls...we call Uchtdorf the Silver Fox. So I must agree with your mother.

My sister says the same thing about his good looks.

And to this, I say AMEN.
I watched the Christmas Devotional last night. First time ever. Look at me, all Mormon and stuff.

My roommate and I also refer to him as the "Silver Fox" I heard a rumor that he has the nickname "Fox" from his military years. I can't guarantee it's accuracy though...

BAHAHA!! This post made me so happy. I think he's really debonair looking I know a single gal in her 50's that has quite the crush on him. =) I hope your mom gets her wish. Maybe it could be an Ensign pull-out!

We call him the Handsome Apostle.

I think that tee-shirt would sale- alot.

Our second child's middle name is Dieter- and it would have been his first but I put my foot down seeing as we don't live in Hamburg. In this case it was a case of idol worship from my husband.

Hey Stephanie! I am so glad you commented on my blog so that I could find yours! It was so fun to get on and read about what you have been up to! I do agree that we share a brother, but if he gets in to any shinanigins- I don't know the kid ;)

Honestly, your mom is saying out loud what we all think in our head...well, at least what I think in my head.

This crush makes so much more sense to me than my grandmother's crush on Howard W Hunter. Then again, Howard W Hunter was the better looking version of my late grandfather.

I just realized the "D" name we can't think of for our spawn arriving in 4 weeks or less could be Dieter! Or maybe Diedrich. I wonder how my in laws would react to that one.

He actually looks a heck of a lot like my dad. So I can't call him hot, even though he totally is.
Silver Fox. Awesome.

I was threatening to start a website "Dieter's Hot dot com." My husband didn't want me to be officially reprimanded, though.

just so you know, I can contribute with a very grainy, blurry photo of him at a Jazz game with his grand kids...is that everyday enough?
